I can't make hard saves!Edit

Please make sure you're executing it correctly. Hold control and click "save."

If this doesn't work, the only other problem that we have experienced to date is an out-of-date version of TDCG.

Your TDCG game window should read "3D Custom Girl XP (r4.1)". If it does not, please update the game until it does.

My hard saves don't show up on the menuEdit

File:Horo.tdcgsav.png
A typical hardsave. Note the green background and filesize.

Make sure that:

  1. Your hard save is named "[name].tdcgsav.png". For example, "miku.tdcgsav.png". If your OS has extensions hidden, then it would show up as a PNG file named "miku.tdcgsav". Generally, if you download from a site like 4chan or an uploader, you will have to rename the image before using it.
  2. Your hard save is in the correct folder. By default, the game reads hard saves from /My Documents/TechArts3D/TDCG/. If you set it to a different folder, then make sure the hard save is in whatever folder you set it to.
  3. Your hard save is actually a hard save. You may be dealing with a file that is simply a picture of a hard save's thumbnail (looks visually like a hard save but isn't). Check to make sure it isn't a JPEG file; if it isn't a .jpg, check to make sure the file size is appropriate for a hard save (usually at least 1mb). Also, remember that hard saves have a green background, not white.

If none of the above are a problem, you are probably the victim of someone's joke and it's a dud file made to look exactly like a hard save.

My pose saves don't show up in the game menuEdit

Make sure that:

  1. Your pose save is named "[name].tdcgpose.png". See the note on hard saves for additional info, they work the same beyond this.
  2. Your pose save is in the correct folder. By default, the game reads pose saves from /My Documents/TechArts3D/TDCG/pose. If you set it to a different folder, then make sure the hard save is in whatever folder you set it to.
  3. Your pose save is actually a pose save. You may be dealing with a file that is simply a picture of a hard save's thumbnail (looks visually like a hard save but isn't). Check to make sure it isn't a .jpg.

If none of the above are a problem, you are probably the victim of someone's joke and it's a dud file made to look exactly like a pose save.

My mods won't displayEdit

Please ensure you've installed toonshader2 from the XPC uploader. h ttp://cdn.3dcustom.net/TACuploader/all.html?1291940131 XPC02313.zip, pass is "custom"

Alternatively, your graphics card may be incompatible with toonshader.

The game won't run/installEdit

Please try installing DirectX9.0c. Even if you've newly bought a computer or have installed a later version, install it if you can.

Set your non-unicode language settings to Japanese. You should be able to find how to do this easily on any search engine.

Please ensure your graphics card is compatible with toonshader.

Update your drivers, if possible.

Deleting/removing "system.tdcgsav.png" from your hard save folder may help if your character is stuck using mods that have changed.
